Technology Lab

In keeping up with the ever-changing technology of our world, Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Monmouth County announces the opening of its new media center for use by students and faculty. The media center, which was converted from the former school library and computer room, opened this September, in time for the 2013-2014 school year. The state-of-the-art media center features the latest digital technology, including 18 Mac computers, 30 iPads and a high-quality projector, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the learning experiences and capabilities of SSDS students. Students will use the center to access the Internet for research, digitalized resources, various computerized learning tools, and, most importantly, to connect with their peers not only across the nation, but the globe. The SSDS administration believes that working with students from other regions of the country and the world through video chatting will broaden the perspectives of the students. The media center will also retain a section of child-friendly books for the school’s early-childhood students.
