Join the Shomrei Schechter Society

The Hebrew word shomer means guardian or keeper.
A shomer at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater
Monmouth County is a member of the Shomrei Schechter
Society, someone who understands the value of Jewish
education and wants to guard it for future generations.
They are parents of current and former students. They are
guardians and grandparents, faculty and clergy, community
leaders, students and friends. We hope you’ll become one too.
How Does My Donation Help?
Tuition alone does not cover all our expenses. Unlike public
schools we do not receive tax dollars to help with these costs.
Your donation helps cover the difference between what it costs
to educate our students and what we can reasonably expect
families to pay for tuition.
Fundraising efforts such as the Shomrei Schechter Campaign
pay for about twenty percent of our budget. We count on your
donation to help us recruit and retain quality staff, purchase
resources, new technology, improve our facility, expand our
innovative programming, athletic programs and much more.
